***ATTENTION ALL ANGLERS- CATCH REPORT WEEK ENDING 1/7/18***
Latest catch report bantons set off really well this week with John Davis (Linford) on his week session managing 12 fish up to 28lb from woodies. Fishing to small hole in the weed with cell boilies and dog biscuits off the top. Pete Eastwood had a stunning 28lb and a 18lb from the point fishing up to the weed about 40 yards out with Fluro krill popups all fish caught at first light. There has been other fish being caught from around the lake especially off the top. Stephen May of 'on the beaten track' fame, fished Lunar this week for 48hrs landing 2 - a 19lb and a 23lb. Gary Trundle has a fantastic time in Rowlands having 6 fish up to 23lb including the elusive Koi.

Wyre lake has been extremely difficult in the hot conditions with the odd fish still spawning on swamp and lawn, however, there has been a few fish caught from the other side of the lake with Luke Worthington bagging 2 at 22lb and 24lb off the top. John and David Lowry have had a very difficult week but their perseverance was rewarded with 2x 23lb and a 19lber.

Over on foxes the lake was shut Sunday till Wednesday due to spawning. Previous to that it had been fishing exceptionally well -the top method being a solid bag or a small bed of particle.

On sunny 1 it was very slow with only a few fish caught over the weekend. From peg 9, Eddie and Lewis caught 3 fish up to 20lb. There have also been fish caught from the back bank and the shallow using a mixture of tactics; creating a small baited area, PVA bags zigs and surface fishing

Sunny Side 2 Anthony had a fantastic 48h catching 10 fish between 12lb – 19lb he was very consistent, doing floater fishing all day in the roasting temperatures, but boy did it work 5 fish fell to this tac-tic. The other 5 fell to a full bucket of hemp and corn with 10 mm pop ups over the top. Elliott Birkwood (and mum Emma) finally got amongst the action (with a little help of Callum) with an real character of a common weighing in at 29lb 6oz fishing from peg 16 a rod length from the back of the island on the flat water with a KD rig and a strawberry bottom bait with a small PVA bag with scattering of about 50/60 strawberry freebies.

Don’t forget the Wyreside open competition in September is fast approaching – 1st prize is £500 cash and a Wyre & Bantons season ticket for 2019 / 2020 season – with 2nd, 3rd and biggest fish prizes also.
