Brighter Days Rescue Lancaster

We are  excited to announce our new parthnership with Brighter Days Rescue penkridge.

Brighter Days Rescue is a small yet passionate charity whose goal is to help dogs living in unfavourable circumstances find a happy, loving forever home. 

Wyreside Lakes is now home to a new lancaster branch! The brighter days website has been updated to reflect the location of all our dogs - Please note that dogs are now listed under either Penkridge or Lancaster. We kindly ask that you keep this in mind when applying for any of our dogs. 

In 2022 the wonderful Brighter Days shelter was borne from the care & passion of Edwin Briscoe and Raine McCaughtie, their mission being to rehome dogs from the UK and all over Europe to enable them to be adopted into loving households and to regain their trust in humans. Their success story speaks for iteself, with over 400 dogs rehomed in teh UK where these beautiful furbabies will hopefully eventually forget their awful & painful past and become a part of a family and treated with the respect and care they deserve. Sally was very honoured to be invited to become a trustee of this fabulous charity in July 2024 (charity No: 1207001) and promises to continue to help personally and through the Wyreside trust fund and really make a positive difference to these dogs lives.

Introduction
Brighter Days Rescue, a registered charity in England, is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs from challenging conditions both in the UK and abroad. Collaborating with fellow animal advocates in Bulgaria, Spain, and Romania, countries where countless stray animals endure abuse and neglect, we strive to give every rescue dog the love, care, and respect they deserve.

Efforts and Achievements
Our team works tirelessly to raise funds that cover the costs of bringing these dogs to the UK. This includes providing passports, conducting pre-transport medical checks, and arranging safe transportation. Since 2022, brighter days have successfully rescued and rehomed over 400 dogs, a testament to the dedication of our team and the incredible generosity of our donors and volunteers.

We are committed to finding each dog a loving and responsible home, ensuring a thorough screening process for all adopters. While we acknowledge the limits of our resources and energy, our mission remains unwavering: to make the lives of our rescue dogs brighter.
