King Charles III

On Monday 9th February 2026 , we were truly honoured to welcome His Majesty The King, alongside representatives from the Duchy of Lancaster, for their first official visit to Wyreside Lakes.
It was a wonderful occasion for us all. His Majesty was incredibly gracious and engaging, taking a genuine interest in what we do here on the estate and how Wyreside has developed over the past 34 years. He was presented to the Partners, and they shared the journey of how the estate has grown, evolved, and continues to look towards the future.
Sustainability and environmental stewardship were key themes of the visit. His Majesty was particularly interested in the tree planting and conservation work taking place across the estate operating from Cinder Hill Farm. Visitors to Wyreside will have noticed the new plantations in the surrounding fields, and these areas will be maintained and monitored carefully in the years ahead. It is exciting to think how these new plantings will mature over time — just as the earlier trees planted decades ago around the lakes at Wyreside, have grown to shape the landscape we see today.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dawn and her family at Stonybrook Nurseries for supplying the beautiful plants and floral arrangements for the day, and to Maxine at Gold Star Catering for providing a superb afternoon tea.
Most importantly, a heartfelt thank you to our incredible team here at Wyreside. We simply would not be where we are without their hard work and dedication. They ensure the estate always looks immaculate and made the day such a success.
