Description

River Lake is a mature lake that as been specifically designed as a mixed course runs water. The map above shows the new swims that have been added to this 1.5 acre lake This match / pleasure lake has 16 swims.

The Lake contains very large bream & tench up to double figures. As well as carp up to 15lbs. It was newly stocked in February 2017 with F1s Roach and Perch up to 3lbs and small Ide, Chubb and Barbel. We also have Bream, Tench, Roach and Perch in our Day ticket waters Sunnyside 1 and Sunnyside 2 if you would like a different lake. 

River lake is the only original lake on the estate - which has seen several incarnations over the last 25 years. In October 2016 this lake was drained and restocked as a match / day ticket mixed coarse water. Day and night permits are available - A landing net and unhooking mat are necessary to fish this water due to the size of specimen stocked.

Features

• sunken Island (central) quite a lot of reed beds
• Margins are silty (because of tree lines all around the water) but definitely worth fishing.

Hot Spots

Again can be wind direction dependent, and weather conditions but peg 1,2,3,6,7 & 13 do seem to yield overall the best average catch reports.
