This historic lake Wyre is a member’s lake, it is 18 acres in size with a 1-acre island and has 19 swims
there is a car park in the Cabin swims and also a car park behind the pod toilets you have to access
this through the campsite. The depths in this lake range from 3ft – 12ft and is very mature and has
little bays and out of bound areas where the fish love to hide. Hot spots is very much weather
dependent, this is a big lake and the fish are very mobile however island pegs seem to score well
these are as follows, Point, Gravelly, Swamp, Bench, Heli-pad, Winter swim, steps and Back to Back.
This lake can get weedy in the warmer months and the carp love it so don’t ignore it.
